Brian DeRue
Planning Analyst | Development Services Division Brian DeRue is a Planning Analyst for Strategy Planning Associates, Inc. He comes to us with a broad background in Planning and Government and Legislative Affairs. Prior to joining Strategy Planning Associates, he worked for Metra in the Office of Planning and Analysis. Brian’s role as a Planner consisted of consulting communities on transit-oriented development and redevelopment studies, reviewing market analysis, land use, and concept plans, and formulating and managing survey research projects. Brian has also worked as a Legislative/Policy Analyst for the Illinois House of Representatives where he specialized in analyzing and drafting legislation and departmental budgets, formulating policy, and communicating with constituents, different levels of government, and the press. Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and Market Research from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign. Brian is also a member of the American Planning Association and a former member of the Steering Committee for the Annual Transport Chicago Conference. Primary Responsibilities: Brian’s work consists of undertaking market and fiscal impact studies, and providing expert testimony on behalf of our clients. |
